Michiko Koshido is the youngest daughter of Ayako Koshindo and one of three designer sisters. Her heritage is one of generations of garment making and traditional kimono making.
Michiko learnt a great deal working for her mother but struck out alone, she moved to London and mixed ideas from Japanese techniques with rebellious, self expression of street style. These are images of her inflatable dress of 1990,
her designs continue to focus on unique fabrics and innovative garment forms.
