Mary Benson

Mary Benson's theatrical, opulant and dramatic graduate collection. Mary graduated from Westminster in the summer, but was already as an undergraduate creating pieces for Paloma Faith, Rita Ora, and VV Brown. One feature that seems to recur in her work is the collage effect of different surfaces by using metallic, glitter and vinyl applique.

Leandro Cano

Spanish designer Leandro Cano makes fashion that is very unusual and often reminds you of other aspects of design. Because of the heavy adornment, pattern and silhouette of some of his Ánima collection I am reminded of highly decorative vases. Indeed these garments have applied ceramic details made in Leandro's home town of Jaen, in Andalucía.

Irina Dzhus

Wonderful geometric design and silhouette by DZHUS the design company established by Ukranian  designer Irina Dzhus in 2010. These examples are from her “Archetype” SS2014 collection.
"The Archetype collection is inspired by the Orthodox Christian iconographic canons. The magnetic conventionalism of the characters and graphics is inherently the universal code of spirituality. Archetype is a primordial symbol, an initial dogma of consciousness. A creative mind that aspires to the original truth finds the fundamental module for its subjective perfection’s structure. Elementary forms turn into rhythmical and constructional designs. Eclectic combinations of textiles, raw hems and exposed seam allowances contouring the silhouettes reflect the dialectical matter of the pieces – as a key to the synergy of a person wearing them and the innermost essence of the universe."
