Woven organ like vessels by Ann Coddington.
Of the piece directly above Ann writes:
My “albatross” vessels are woven from linen fibers and inside contain plastic that I collected over a month’s time: some of my own plastic and some found while walking to my studio. What appears elegant, organic and pure, like the body of the albatross, hides discarded detritus within. The woven vessel, like the body of the albatross, will most certainly decompose long before the plastic within. Before that happens, I hope we will have found a viable way to take greater action in dealing with our plastic waste. This series is a way to take some responsibility for my part of this problem and to bring this conversation to the forefront of my work.
