Anna Trevithick's graduate design for Coppelia explores the history behind the exploitation of young Ballerinas within the Palais Garnier, 19th century Paris, questioning “what is perfection?” and “what does it mean to be adored?”.

The shapes were inspired by patterns found in Palais Garnier, 19th century Paris. Made of of lazer cut aero plywood with gold leaf, inspired by the chandelier in the main foyer. The beauty of this tutu was the shadows that it created.
