La Vastiarie De Jeane

Using beautiful quality French linens and wool Le Vastiarie De Jeane is a company created by Charlotte Le Stum Meyer.
The reason I wanted to share Charlotte's work here is that she was an 18 year old medical student who upon making a dress for her little sister, suddenly and almost accidentally made a very successful international clothing brand. Parents of her sisters friends requested dresses for their daughters. She started a blog and then Charlotte quickly needed to employ a seamstress to keep up with demand. Now Charlotte has company that retails in over 30 stores world wide and has an online shop. The range of products has extended with time from children's wear into woman's wear, men's wear and  home linens.

As well as being an inspiring story, I also like the way that Charlotte is inspired by various influences and sources these images from her A/W 2013 collection are inspired by the photographer Josef Koudelka's gypsy photographs.
