Imme van der Haak

Beyond the Body by Imme van der Haak is her MA show in Product Design at the RSA.
It is a body of work that allows us inside the skin of others. Imme van der Haak has printed full figure photographed of people onto translucent silk shrouds creating an ambiguity of age, gender and identity that raises so many possibilities and questions. (thanks
"My work focuses on altering the human form by affecting its figure with just one simple intervention. Photos of the human body are printed onto translucent silk which will create the possibility of physically layering different bodies, ages, generations and identities. Beyond the Body brings into being an ambiguous image that intrigues, astonishes or sometimes even disturbs."
