Vanessa German is an artist, sculptor, performer exploring wholeness and identity in these sculptures where the figures are engulfed and swathed in textiles packages of joy, grief, anger . . .
Here i am:
- my soul is completely inside every moment that i am.
- i make things because this is how i am alive.
- i make prayer because prayer is how i am closest to the truest language of my soul in my body.
- i am growing into.towards.i am.an infinite becoming.
- i have fun being human.
- being human hurts.
- i am we.
- i =love =you=love.
- i make things here and it is not always just me asking for, or doing this.sometimes it is more than me.
- i am located everywhere.
- i am having a conscious experience of non-duality.this means that i kin feel more than myself as a body or singular set of experiences.i kin feel myself alive inside of you.and the trees.and the grass and the sky. This feeling often is the feeling of being suspend in a miracle.
- awe and wonder are nearly constant experiences for my being.
- i kin feel you, too.i kin feel how the day shakes and shapes itself within you.i kin see, often, a sphere of loving around every human being.this sphere of loving is within and beyond your human identity. I kin often feel your ancestral love, your ancestral karmic line, your familial love— within your human family— and wounds to this line. People are surrounded by and within so much more actively loving then they are accessing on a daily basis. To experience this intentionally, as many of you know, one must simply: ask.
.
All of these things and more ARE my practice.sometimes this practice brings forward physical objects that we will call, ‘Art work’, as seen in this image. Vanessa German Below: Angry Rapper
