Anuj Sharma I

Anuj Sharma is the fashion designer who invents different methods of forming garments with minimum intervention in terms of cutting, garments that can be multi-functional and adaptable and waste free.
With the technique Button Masala, Anuj formed a new way of constructing and wearing garments, a simple joinery system designed for clothing using only buttons or rubber bands.

Marta Aranda's sculptural project 'Second Skin' explores the importance of clothing as a method of communication and identity.

Ji Won Choi

Ji Won Choi's bold graduate collection "EXCESSIVISM" is a visual representation of a closet that highlights waste and overconsumption in our modern society. Ji Won Choi has just graduated from
Parsons New School of Design and was one of the Empowering Imagination winners.

"My thesis collection is entirely about highlighting consumer waste in our society and our habits to possess in our closets much more than what is actually worn. My work is a visual statement of this issue of waste through graphic symbolism and construction. The design of each garment is developed from the concept of a stripe to symbolize an “item” in our closets and is multiplied to create a visual representation of an average closet. Various elements within my garments can easily be manipulated in order to create multiple silhouettes; thus, creating more options of wear and decreasing the need to keep adding more items to our closets." Eve Kann

Eve Kann's design for Queen Herodias from Salome the opera by Richard Strauss.  The man-made fabric was manipulated with a heat gun to create a look that would represent a proud, hard, and unsympathetic queen. Eve has just graduated from Nottingham Trent University in costume design.

Zhuxuan (Aimee) He

Soft pillowing pompom's of garments designed by Zhuxuan He for his graduate collection for the University of Technology. Sydney.

"This collection explores the connection between body, garment and its surrounding space, where the wearer acts as instigator for movement within the garment itself to be revealed. The sculptural and articulated forms are inspired by organic abstraction and paper origami folding techniques, and expressed through interconnected layers of fabric and structure. The collection seeks to challenge the potential of three dimensional shape in relation to the female silhouette." Zhuxuan He
