One of
Lin Tianmiao's earliest memories is of helping her mother sew clothes for the family so it is not surprising that fabric and thread play such an important part in Lin's sculptures and installations. These costumes are part of a body of work called 'Here or There' which was made as a collaboration with her partner
Wang Gongxin 2002 I love the translucence, the layering and the dramatic shapes of these costume structures. They are like ghosts or spirits, but they also have a danger about them.
