Trager Delaney

Kim Trager an Lowell Delany are a design duo who met at London Central St Martins and launched their brand this spring.
I love this star dust photo shoot with wonderful fabrics and fabric combinations. The wonderful golden yellow velvet combined with the metallic sheen of the skirt is a luxurious happy combination.

MoMi-Ko

I like all the different textures and fabric manipulation in this collection 'Besarabia', by Polish fashion designer Monika Misiak-Kołsut of MoMi-Ko.

Marketa Martiskova II

This sculptural, rose petal layering of colour and fabric on Marketa Martiskova's dress is stunning and reminded me of Roberto Cappuci's dress forms.

Roberto Capucci

Currently exhibited at La Venaria Reale there is a display of fifty dresses created in the 1950's by Roberto Capucci,.
Now in his eighties this Italian designers work is just as contemporary and amazing in its sculptural form, its palette, elegance ad theatricality. Seeing the work of Marketa Martiskova there was a resonance between this new graduates collection and this grand master of 20th Century fashion.

Dyeing with Indigo

My washing line is reminding me of those pictures of poor octopi pegged out. Today I had to dive in and start indigo dyeing the clothes and jewelry that my students and myself have been making for a fashion show in Málaga next week.
It is very, very messy and smelly and I have a lot more to do!

Veronica Durisova and Laura Storcelova

Love the drama of these figures in the skyscape and landscape Veronica Durisova and Laura Storcelova produced the bodypaint /costume for this dance performance stretching the body shape and stature, and ontrasting the painted skin with full voluminous skirts. I would love to see the film.

Ria Keburia

With a  look book that is like a magic trick, Ria Keburia's collection, photographed with the models skin blending into the walls makes them look as though parts are missing like they are the ladies sawn up on a magicians table.
Combine that with the textures, silhouettes, drama and unique engineering of these garments and you end up with a very intriguing collection.

Robert Wun I

Robert Wun, is a London based designer originally from Hong Kong who graduated from London College of Fashion in 2012. His SS2014 collection 'E•den'  has a styling that is very much of a futuristic samurai.
Robert Wun was inspired by religion and the way it interprets the idea of mankind and souls for his new spring summer collection. "Eden" is comprised of four chapters; Ossos inspired by Capela dos Ossos, The Dark, The Lights and Frost. The designer was inspired by a book written by a Japanese scientist, 'The Miracle of Water' by Masaru Emoto and the idea that water can change responding to human emotions. Photography is by Michal Pudelka

Madame Peripetie

Madame Peripetie (Sylwana Zybura), 1979 lives and works in Germany though she is originally from Poland. Sylwana's images are surreal and fantastical, her work is a mixture of fashion photography and sculpture, using various fabrics and objects to achieve her end results. Sylwana is influenced by surrealism, dadaism, the new wave era of the 80's, the British post punk scene and the avant garde theater of Robert Wilson.
The blue of this bodice is so vivid and I love the textures.
