Faith O'Hare

 

Inspired by Scottish fabrics and historic mens workwear from the shipping docks of the Clyde,  Faith O'Hare's collection was wonderfully tailored from second-hand natural fibres, creating a patchwork enhanced by hand stitching using tailors tacking as inspiration, which reminded me of sashiko.

Sleep from ‘Button for Sleep’ by Valeri Petrov, is one of the graduation costumes of  Anna Gradeetchieva magical and poetic.

Iona Lynch

Iona Lynch, The Lady on the Grey, from a Spiegeltent theatre adaptation of Neil Gaiman's 'The Graveyard Book', inspired by German Expressionism and Pre-Raphaelite models. I loved the translucence of Iona's costume, especially on the cape, it was magical in the lights. 

Iona Verity

 

Iona Verity graduating for ECA Performance Costume Design chose to make a wonderful costume for Spiller from The Borrowers by Mary Norton, I will add details from this costume after I have attended the degree show and got to see it close up but I loved every aspect of it in the show. Tuuli-Tytti Koivula

 

Former alpine ski racer now award winning Finish fashion designer Tuuli-Tytti Koivula won the grand prize at the Alpha competition in Copenhagen this January with her MA collection 'Blumental'.

Hedvig Ljungström

 

The quilted fashion creations of Hedvig Ljungström who graduated last summer from The Swedish School Of Textiles - University Of Borås. This project explores how discarded baby garments can be upcycled into a womenswear collection, using design references from the Elizabethan era.
