Today I had a photo shoot for the calico jewelry that I have been making over the last two months and also the work that the students have produced. All of this work has been made from scraps of calico that I have collected over the last few years. It has been great to experiment and see what you can make from bags of rags. The students work will be in my next post.

Yuni Kim Lang I
Yuni Kim Lang is a sculptor and photographer based in Mitchigan. Comfort Hair is a large sculptural wig, inspired by folklore and fairy tales as well as it's cultural and historical significance. The works are created from rope and synthetic materials noted and braided into monumental hair sculptures.

Lilla Cséfalvay and Fanni Csefalvay
Lilla and Fanni Csefalvay's modern interpretation of traditional Hungarian costume designed for the Re-Think Re-Button Fashion competition . The sisters focused on an element of traditional Hungarian clothing called 'Matyo' and used honeycomb as an inspiration from nature.
